GOOD MANNERS AND RIGHT CONDUCT/ VALUES EDUCATION/CHRISTIAN VINCENTIAN LIVING
Christian Vincentian Living, which is the core of instruction, is a way of leading persons to study the mystery of Christ. It aims to put people not only in touch but also in communion and intimacy with Christ. Only He can lead us to the Father in Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Spirit. The Christian Vincentian Living Program is designed to help in making alive and practical the proclamation of the Christian Faith in a dynamic interplay with the needs, values, and aspirations of the learners in their particular situation, context, and culture. It takes into consideration certain essentials in the growth and development of the students, such as the search for identity, the culture of which he is a part, his relationship to the Church, his background socially and economically, the value pattern he has imbibed as a result of past training, and his potentials for life commitment. On the other hand, Good Manners and Right Conduct is intended to help students in building a solid moral foundation and character. It emphasizes instilling values like respect, honesty, empathy, accountability, fairness, and integrity. The subject seeks to form students` actions and attitudes while cultivating virtues that contribute to personal growth and betterment of society. The integration of Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) into Christian Vincentian Living (CVL) can be approached in a way that includes the values, principles, and teachings of both disciplines. Through this integration, students may develop an in-depth knowledge of ethical and moral principles as well as spiritual growth in the context of their Filipino cultural background. With this, it is a hope to produce well-rounded Cordian-Vincentians who are not only academically competent but also morally upright and socially responsible members of society.
ARALING PANLIPUNAN PROGRAM
Ang Araling Panlipunan ay isang integratibo at interdisiplinaryong asignatura na nakatuon sa pag-aaral ng tao at ng kaniyang ugnayan sa mga grupo, komunidad, lipunan, at sa mas malawak na pandaigdigang konteksto. Sinusuri nito kung paano namuhay at patuloy na namumuhay ang mga tao, ang kanilang mga paniniwala, kultura, institusyon, at mga sistemang humuhubog sa kanilang pagkakakilanlan bilang Pilipino. Binibigyang-diin ng asignatura ang dinamikong interaksyon ng indibidwal at lipunan, kabilang ang mga demokratikong institusyon, istrukturang panlipunan, at mga hamong panlipunan, pang-ekonomiya, pampolitika, at pangkapaligiran na humuhubog sa kontemporaryong pamumuhay. Bilang isang multidisiplinaryong larangan, ang Araling Panlipunan ay nagpapakilala ng iba’t ibang disiplina ng Agham Panlipunan tulad ng heograpiya, kasaysayan, sosyolohiya, agham pampolitika, ekonomiks, at antropolohiya upang mapalawak at mapalalim ang pagsusuri sa mga isyung panlipunan at pandaigdig. Hinuhubog nito ang kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral sa mapanuring pag-iisip, makabuluhang pag-unawa, at makataong pagbuo ng pagpapasya. Kaakibat ng misyon at bisyon ng paaralan, layunin ng Araling Panlipunan na linangin ang aspetong intelektuwal at etikal ng mga mag-aaral bilang bahagi ng pagpapayabong ng Vincentian Excellence, aktibong pakikilahok at malasakit ayon sa Compassionate Service—lalo na sa mga nasa laylayan ng lipunan, at responsableng pakikitungo at pangangalaga sa kapaligiran na layon ng Care for God’s Creation. Sa kabuuan, hinahangad ng asignatura na humubog ng mga mapanuri, mapagmuni, produktibo, at mapanagutang mamamayan na may matibay na pagkakakilanlang kultural, pagmamahal sa bayan, at pandaigdigang pananaw tungo sa makatarungan at makataong lipunan.
ENGLISH PROGRAM
Language is the foundation of all human relationships, which are established on the ability of people to communicate effectively with each other, as thoughts, values, and understandings are developed and expressed through it. The English Program aims to develop in the students competencies such as listening, speaking, reading, viewing, and writing effectively that would equip them to experience effective communication and interaction, which is based on the content standards such as oral language, phonological awareness, book and print knowledge, alphabet knowledge, phonics and word recognition, fluency, spelling, writing and composition, grammar awareness and structure, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, attitudes towards language, literacy and literature, and study strategies. The ultimate goal is to produce graduates who can apply the language conventions, principles, strategies, and skills in (1) interacting with others, (2) understanding and learning other content areas, and (3) fending for themselves in whatever field of endeavor they may engage in. The program emphasizes the importance of language proficiency to access, process and keep abreast of information, to engage with the wider and more diverse communities, and to learn about the role of language in their own lives, and in their own and other cultures.
FILIPINO PROGRAM
Ang asignaturang Filipino ay mahalagang bahagi ng batayang edukasyon na naglalayong linangin ang mga mag-aaral bilang mahusay, mapanuri, at malikhaing tagagamit ng wikang Filipino sa pamamagitan ng paglinang ng kasanayan sa pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, pagsulat, at panonood, kasabay ng pagpapalalim ng kamalayan sa kulturang Pilipino, panitikan, kasaysayan, at mga kontemporaryong isyung panlipunan. Ang spiral at progresibong kurikulum na nakaayon sa K–10 Curriculum ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ay nagbibigay-diin sa pundasyong kasanayang pangwika at pagpapahalagang Pilipino sa Baitang Ikalawa hanggang Ikatlo, pagpapatibay ng gramatika, talasalitaan, iba’t ibang uri ng pagsulat, kolaborasyon, at media literacy sa Baitang Ikaapat hanggang Ikaanim, at pagpapalalim ng kritikal na pag-iisip, pagsusuri ng panitikang Filipino, akademikong pagsulat, pananaliksik, at responsableng paggamit ng midya sa Baitang Ikapito hanggang Ikasampu. Sa kabuuan, nilalayon ng Programang Filipino sa K–10 na linangin ang mahahalagang kasanayan sa ika-21 siglo at hubugin ang mga mag-aaral na may matibay na pagkakakilanlang Pilipino at kakayahang makilahok nang responsable sa lokal at global na diskurso.
MATHEMATICS PROGRAM
Mathematics is a discipline that studies and describes the relationships, regularities, and structures that exist within patterns that can be found in various forms, such as numerical sequences, geometric arrangements, logical sequences, and more. Mathematics enables the learners to recognize, analyze, and extend patterns, allowing us to make predictions and draw conclusions based on observed regularities such as quantities, shapes, figures, functions, logic, and reasoning. Patterns are often represented mathematically using symbols, formulas, equations, or algorithms.
The Mathematics Program aims to develop the twin abilities of critical-thinking and problem-solving by understanding the underlying principles behind these patterns. By thinking critically, the necessary skills of conceptualization, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation are actively unlocked and honed. The contents and competencies of Mathematics are aligned with the K to 12 Curriculum Guide of Department of Education and goes above and beyond through the inclusion of Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry & Basic Calculus as electives for grades 9 and 10 respectively. The program covers the five content areas of Numbers and Number Sense, Measurement, Geometry, Patterns and Algebra, and Probability and Statistics and integrates it with the Cordian-Vincentian core values, School’s Mission-Vision, and thrusts. Through the Mathematics Program of the Basic Education Department, the students are equipped with the necessary life-long skills of accuracy, creativity, objectivity, perseverance, and productivity which they will be able to use beyond the confines of the classroom and the school to enable them to become fruitful citizens of the country and valuable members of the community to which they belong.
SCIENCE PROGRAM
The Science Program develops scientifically literate learners with a strong understanding of core concepts in life science, physical science, earth and space science, and matter, in alignment with the revised K–10 curriculum. It nurtures students’ natural curiosity through inquiry-based and experiential learning, enabling them to explore scientific ideas, processes, and real-world applications. The program equips learners with essential 21st-century skills such as critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, information literacy, and responsible use of technology, while encouraging the application of scientific knowledge to personal, local, and global contexts, including environmental protection and sustainable development. Emphasizing scientific skills and processes, positive attitudes and values, and meaningful application of knowledge, the program provides balanced mind-on, hands-on, and heart-on learning experiences that empower Cordian learners to make informed decisions, innovate responsibly, and appreciate Science as relevant and useful in everyday life.
HELE/TLE PROGRAM
The subject aims to develop students’ practical skills and knowledge that apply to real-life situations. The content, standards, and competencies were adapted in the DepEd K to 12 curriculum guide. It offers a variety of technical and vocational courses to prepare students for future career paths and to become productive members of the workforce through employment and business ventures. HELE/TLE effectively utilizes technology to enhance students’ technological literacy. Students are expected to demonstrate experiential learning, entrepreneurial, critical, and creative thinking, and develop positive attitudes and values towards work.
The Home Economics and Livelihood Education/Technology and Livelihood Education is a learning area that equips learners with basic home skills to enable them to be productive in life. The learners in Grades 4 to 6 will explore the fundamental home skills of the four components of HELE/TLE (Information and Communications Technology [ICT], Agriculture and Fishery Arts [AFA], Family and Consumer Science [FCS], and Industrial Arts [IA]). The basic and common competencies of the four TLE components will be introduced in Grades 7 to 8. In Grades 9 and 10, selected core competencies will be taken in every sector with intensified entrepreneurial skills (exploratory by sector). Learners are introduced to different industries and specializations, focusing on the use of tools and equipment, mensuration, interpretation of drawings and plans, and observation of occupational safety and health, career, and business opportunities.
MAPEH PROGRAM
The Music and Arts Program develops 21st-century Filipino learners who are creative, expressive, and artistically skilled. It integrates music, theater, dance, and visual arts into a unified program, using local culture, traditions, and community resources to make learning relevant, inclusive, and meaningful. The program supports gradual skill development, from basic appreciation and understanding to creative production and career-ready artistic work. It also fosters creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and technology literacy, helping learners engage with both local and global artistic contexts. Through learner-centered and performance-based approaches, the program encourages students to explore their talents, express their cultural identity, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
The Physical Education and Health Program promotes holistic, lifelong health and active living by connecting learning areas, learner influence (self, family, community, and society), and intended outcomes. Grounded in the belief that health is a fundamental right and movement is essential to learning, the program develops physical literacy, health literacy, and 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, resilience, and decision-making. It provides progressive, meaningful experiences that build knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes toward personal, social, and community well-being. At its core, the program nurtures well-rounded learners who take responsibility for their own health and contribute to the well-being of others, applying what they learn across different contexts and challenges in a rapidly changing world.
READING PROGRAM

It enables learners to adapt to emerging trends in the ICT and meet the demands of society. It refers to a structured set of offerings and activities that focus on the study and application of various technologies related to information processing, storage, retrieval, and communication. This program is regularly updated to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and align with the K to 12 Curriculum. This program is designed to introduce learners to various computer-related concepts and skills progressively, starting with the basics and gradually advancing to more complex topics. It encompasses a range of skills, including desktop publishing, hardware servicing, word processing, image editing, animations, programming, information systems, computer networks, and integrating technology across various subjects.
Here are some common ICT program offerings in Basic Education:
Digital Literacy: This focuses on developing basic computer skills, such as keyboarding, using productivity software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets), navigating the internet, and understanding digital etiquette and safety.
Information Technology (IT) Fundamentals: It provides an introduction to IT concepts, including computer hardware, software, operating systems, and computer networks. Learners may learn basic troubleshooting skills and gain an understanding of different technology devices and their applications.
Coding and Programming: Some ICT programs in basic education offer courses that introduce learners to the fundamentals of coding and programming. Learners may learn programming concepts through web and visual programming environments or block-based programming languages that enable them to create programs.
Multimedia and Digital Content Creation: This focuses on developing skills in multimedia production, including creating and editing images, animations, videos, and audio files. Learners may learn how to use graphic design software, video editing tools, and presentation software to create digital content.
Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship: It emphasizes responsible and safe use of technology. Learners learn about online privacy, cyberbullying, information literacy, and ethical use of digital resources. They are taught how to navigate online platforms responsibly and engage in positive digital interactions.
